Simon Cowell denies dating ‘American Idol’ make-up artist
July 27th, 2009 - 5:19 pm ICT by ANILondon, July 27 (ANI): Music mogul Simon Cowell has dismissed rumours he is dating American Idol make-up artist Mezhgan Hussainy - following a string of rumours linking the star to Afghan beauty.
Cowell has been single since splitting from long-term girlfriend Terri Seymour, but he was rumoured to have stepped back on the dating scene with Afghanistan-born Hussainy, who he met behind-the-scenes of the hit US show, reports the Mirror.
The TV star fuelled speculation of a relationship with the 36-year-old after they were snapped together at his surprise 50th birthday party in London on Saturday night.
However, Cowell has dismissed the rumours, insisting the pair is “just good friends,” with a rep for the star also calling the relationship “purely platonic”.
A pal of Cowell said: “Simon is not involved with anyone. He loves female company but he is not ready for a relationship.” (ANI)
