May 24 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Paula Abdul will be returning to ‘Idol’ where Lee DeWyze and Crystal Bowersox are America’s two favorite ‘Idol’s’ this season. Perez Hilton is asking for Simon’s job, and everyone is anxious for the upcoming finale show which will reveal this season’s winner, and will also serve as the “goodbye” show for Simon Cowell, who is leaving the show after nine seasons.

Paula Abdul, who left the show last season, and was replaced by Ellen DeGeneres will be returning for Simon’s Grand Finale. In this special send off for the British judge, who is going to start another show “‘X’Factor” will have such guests as Paula Abdul and Christina Aguilera to help throw his ‘going away’ party, although Fox won’t reveal much more about the guests.

Simon stated that he is leaving the show because he is bored. In an interview with Oprah Winfrey, Simon admitted that he felt like he was sitting there on “autopilot” and that he feels like American Idol viewers deserve something better than to see Simon sitting there bored out of his mind.

The ‘Associated Press’ is now reporting that Perez Hilton is wanting Simon Cowell’s judgement seat. In a blog she states, “My name has been mentioned several times as a possible replacement for Simon Cowell, mainly by me - I’m not even joking, I would work for free the first season. After that, then we can talk about a fair pay cheque.”

she added: “I’ve shamelessly been campaigning for the job and I am adamant and I believe I would do a great job. I’m not that selective though. I would just as happily appear on Simon Cowell’s X Factor as I would on American Idol.”
