Simon Cowell booed on ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ show
May 31st, 2011 - 9:28 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattLondon, May 31 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Simon Cowell was booed on the show “Britain’s Got Talent.” Cowell is a judge on the show but as his name was mentioned by the host of the show, the audience booed at the music mogul probably because of reports that Cheryl Cole has been axed from the US X Factor show.
The British tabloid The Sun quoted a source that said, “The gossip before the show was all about Cheryl and Simon… As soon as the warm-up guy said, ‘Simon is in the building,’ everyone suddenly started booing. People were saying, ‘That’s for Cheryl’.”
Cole was dumped from the US “X Factor” version after she had been earlier confirmed for the show. The decision to remove the “Girls Aloud” star stemmed from the executives of the show’s fears that her Geordie accent wouldn’t be understood by the viewers and the contestants.
Cowell and Cole were both on the UK version of the show last season. The duo developed a bond while they were on the show. AOL TV quoted a friend of Cowell as saying that the former “American Idol” judge does not expect Cole to forgive him for what happened. He is reportedly feeling guilty for what happened to Cole.
