Simon Cowell asks George Michael to join US X Factor

Simon Cowell Los Angeles, Dec 16 (THAINDIAN NEWS) George Michael has been rumored to becoming a judge on the US reality series X Factor.

The singer has reportedly been contacted by the show’s charismatic producer, Simon Cowell to be on the panel of judges. It is an offer Michael will not want to miss.

The singer was jailed earlier this year after he was arrested by the authorities for driving under the influence. A search on him then also revealed that the “Careless Whisper” singer was in possession of cannabis.

The offer is seen as an opportunity for Michael to get his fans to support him again. He was arrested and subsequent sentencing might have come as a shock to the many followers of the artist.

A source close to Michael revealed that the star was keen on picking up the offer. The source said Simon Cowell knew well that Michael was loved so much by Americans. That is why he was going for him.

Details of the offer are scanty but reports indicate that the 47-year-old is being offered close to $1.5 million if he picks the challenge up.
