‘The Mentalist’ in 2008 was debuted as the No.1 new drama on the CBS TV and Simon Baker became a household name. Now in the third season of the action the guy has bagged $30 million deal with the Warner Bros. for the series. Baker is going to have great happy holidays this season.
The contract which he previously had with Warner Bros. was for five years and now has been extended to another one year. The good news for the handsome actor doesn’t end here, as the reports suggest that he will also receive a large share of the profit that the production house acquires. Baker will bag a percentage of the profit that Warner Bros. TV makes from selling the episodes to the syndicate.
Going by estimation it will be nothing less than $10 million per year a package which will continue till next three seasons, starting from this Fall. Earlier in November 2009, TNT bought the syndication rights of ‘The Mentalist’ for a sum of $2.2 million for each episode from Warner Bros. TV.
Baker plays the role of Patrick Jane and will now continue to solve mysteries for at least three more seasons to come. The series garnered 16 million viewers on an average in its third season and has been the numero uno in the DVR-ed shows of TV.
