Shujaat Hussain Khan Debuts With Mr. Singh And Mrs. Mehta

June 11, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Renowed Sitarist and grammy nominated artist Shujaat Hussain Khan made the music launch of the film Mr. Singh and Mrs. Mehta, a very special occasion with his compositions. The occasion was also graced by the writer,director Pravesh Bhardwaj and actor Prashant Narayanan.
Speaking on the occasion, the director of the film says, “The soul of Mr Singh and Mrs Mehta lies in its music. It will take the audience back to the good old days of melodious music which is ably backed by soulful lyrics. Singers like Shreya Ghoshal, KK, Richa Sharma and Roop Kumar Rathod will mesmerize the audience with their melodious voices.”
As the movie marks Shujaat Hussain Khan’s debut in this industry, he reveals his reasons for remaining aloof, “People have been approaching me to compose the music for their films for a long time but they expected me to compose items number and didn’t have any respect for the kind of music that I am known for,”
“And then comes the first director who said that he wants my kind of music so there wasn’t a chance to say no,” he concludes.
Music C.Ds will be available from the 17th of June and the movie releases on the 25th of this month.
