Dec. 26, (THAINDIAN NEWS) India has once again come to the top ten positions of the beauty contests. However, this time the contestant could not claim the title. Shrima Rai, who has participated in the Mrs. World 2009 contest has ended at the top ten position while Gohar Harutyunyan from Armenia claimed the throne. A banker by profession, Shrima Rai, now wants to try her luck in entertainment industry.

As per the reports, Shrima Rai who has ended at the top 10 position also claimed the first runner up position of Mrs. India 2009 competition. Before participating in the Mrs. World 2009 contest, Shrima Rai was the title winner of the ‘Most Beautiful Face’ in a contest that had forty participants from different parts of the world. When interviewed by the media, the lady sounded confident about her talent even though she could not claim the title of the contest.

The lady was accompanied by her husband Aditya Rai when the contest had taken place in Bratislava of Slovakia, on December 13, 2009. Apart from the beauty contests, she also expressed her desire to make a debut in the Indian film industry if she gets a suitable offer. According to the reports, she is the sister-in-law of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who has earlier claimed the Miss World title.

Rai family must have been overwhelmed with the news that not only their daughter but also their daughter-in-law has achieved a successful spot in a beauty contest. Yet, neither the in laws nor the parents of the Shrima Rai had accompanied to the competition. Media sources are still unable to reach them for their comments on this event.
