indy4-shiaNew York, May 19, (THAINDIAN NEWS) One of the most promising young actors of Hollywood, Shia LaBeouf has taken to self criticism while promoting his new movie at the Cannes. The actor says that he believes that he “dropped the ball on the legacy” of Indiana Jones which has been a favorite among the audiences. Reportedly, the actor is in Cannes promoting his new movie “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps”.

The actor told the media that he failed to do justice to the roles in his two major movies namely “Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull” and “Transformers 2″. It’s unusual to witness an actor taking to self criticism in an industry like Hollywood where actors are mostly backing their movies no matter what the ill or the odds are. Shia LaBeouf feels that his portrayal of the Marlon Brando-eque teen in the movie was one of the lamest performances in his career till date. He seeks to be a perfectionist and thus refrains from shifting the blames to the director of the movie. Shia LaBeouf says that it is for an actor to add life to a character on screen but with “Indiana Jones” he simply failed to deliver it.

Talking about his new movie “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps” Shia LaBeouf said that he was pretty nervous when the role was offered to him. He was preoccupied with the thought that this sequel of Wall Street (1987) might turn out to be another spoiler performance from him similar to that of “Indiana Jones”. However, at the end he pulled himself up and decided to take the plunge and now he is keeping his fingers crossed and hoping for the best.
