It ought to be mentioned that Sheryl Crow was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006 when she underwent a routine mammogram screening. But at the age of 44, she battled the illness and she has now been declared cancer free with the help of radiation treatment and surgeries. Her treatment was carried out at the Pink Lotus Breast Center.
Now she is partnering the Pink Lotus Breast Center to set up a facility called the Sheryl Crow Imaging Center to help detect breast cancer very easily.
The facility was opened to the public for the first time ever on Tuesday and Sheryl said the partnership has provided her with a wonderful opportunity to create awareness of the disease.
“Joining forces with the Pink Lotus Breast Center has provided me with a wonderful platform to create awareness and encourage the millions of American women over 40 to get their annual mammogram,” according to the Sheryl Crow.
Breast cancer is a leading form of cancer amongst women in the United States. Doctors and health experts say early detection of breast cancer is the surest way to save a patient and the ultra-modern imaging center at Pink Lotus will help do just that.
