May 1, (THAINDIAN NEWS) For a lot of people nothing is as exciting as pornography and they also believe that porn stars are the ones who lead a glamorous and raunchy life. However, this is only one side of the reality and the life of the porn stars are often smeared with the shadows of drug, sexual infection and ailments. The female porn stars usually end up suffering more than their male counterparts. The porn queen of yesterdays, Shelley Lubben is back in news for spreading anti-porn awareness among people. She acted in a number of adult films in her youth and like other female porn stars she went through the negative phase of her life. She has set up an organization called Pink Cross Foundation and with it she makes people aware about the dark sides of the porn industry.

She has seen many of her co-actresses getting into drug addiction and subjecting themselves to many other forms of substance abuse. According to her she is lucky to get rid of the sordid past and a number of her colleagues sank to the bottom of darkness. A major problem that plagues that porn industry is the lack of sexual health awareness among the actors. A large number of porn stars still do not use condoms and other forms of protections to safeguard themselves from killer diseases while performing the sexual acts.

Shelley Lubben thinks that the female porn stars must insist on condom usage while shooting the sexual acts. Sexual diseases can be prevented among porn stars through resorting to healthier sexual practices, as she has written.
