Shekhar Kapur’s New Venture: Paani

June 7, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Shekhar Kapur has given some of the world’s most critically acclaimed movies whether a Masoom or the Oscar nominated Elizabeth. He has never failed to impress us yet!
Shekhar, recently confirmed at Cannes film festival that his next film will be called Paani starring Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan who was the hero of recent movie- Kites.
The movie Paani, is based on a book by Maude Barlow called Blue “Covenant: the global water crisis and the coming battle for the right.’ The movie which is slated to release in 2012 is a science fiction and will portray the water crisis faced in the world. The film is written by David Farr. It will explain how the crisis will affect everything, right from individuals to the world at large.
The film will definitely make people sit up and take notice! It will also include a very touching love story where the characters get affected by the situation.
Shekhar, the commendable director that he is, will surely keep his fans on their toes with this latest venture of his. Paani is definitely a movie to watch out for as it has a sensitive subject involved.
