May 19, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Christina Aguilera has dismissed all speculations surrounding the alleged report that she hates singer Lady Gaga. In a statement made to the media the Grammy Award winner states that contrary to previous allegations, she does not have anything against Lady Gaga. In fact Christina Aguilera also has nothing against any female singer in the industry. Reports made public many days before claimed that ever since Lady Gaga burst onto the music scene and become popular Christina Aguilera had been bad-mouthing the star. However now it seems that Christina Aguilera has vouched to set the record straight.

The new music album of Christina Aguilera titled ‘Not Myself Tonight’ is now in stands and it has already drawn the ire of many critics who feel that the new video album is a lift from Lady Gaga’s trademark style. It was perhaps this comparison which forced the Grammy winner to open her mouth. She defends herself saying that after being in the industry for more than ten years now it hardly makes any sense if someone compares her to a newcomer.

In her statement, Christina Aguilera also states that she has a lot of respect for Lady Gaga. Saying that she respects everyone who works hard to earn money, Lady Gaga is no exception, Christina Aguilera also asserts that there is probably enough memory space in each person’s i-pod to store the songs of a variety of singers, so the comparisons hardly affect her at the end of the day. This is not the first time that the 29 year old has been reported of a supposed enmity with a female co-artist, Britney Spears being the first.
