New York, Nov 11 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Shay Sorrells, is the dynamic 30-year-old social worker from Newport Beach, who had earlier made it through to week 9 of “The Biggest Loser,” by shedding more than 100 pounds in the process.

But in this week, there was the dual Elimination announcement, which came as a complete shock to all the contestants. They all were in extreme tension thinking about who would leave the show and who’s 1-week more stay on the show could be jeopardized due to the Double Elimination announcement.

In a surprise twist because of the Double Elimination rule prevalent his week, both Shay and teammate Daniel left the show. Daniel ended up as the contestant who lost the least-amount of weight this week, and under the special rules of the double elimination was taken out of the game without a vote.

The two next-lowest weight losing contestants Shay and Amanda faced the vote-off, in which sadly Shay lost 3-2.

Shay Sorrells has 2 elder sisters. She was in the foster care system from age five to 18 years of age. Shay has been overweight since childhood. In the past decade, she has found that her over weight is affecting her life drastically as well as her emotions and is having a bad effect on the tensions in her life and aggravating them. Her extended family is also over-weight too.
