“Shark Week” Makes A Comeback On Discovery Channel With ‘Ultimate Air Jaws’

sheakAug 2, (THAINDIAN NEWS) “Shark Week,” the annual week-long feature show on Discovery Channel which focuses on sharks made an impressive comeback on the network on Sunday night. The immensely popular program which showcased its 23rd edition last night commenced its week-long journey with the episode titled “Ultimate Air Jaws” in which a unique behavior that is displayed by the great white sharks along the coast of South Africa is explored.

The manner in which the pilot episode of this year’s edition of ‘Shark WeeK” unfolded was successful in fulfilling the expectations of the large number of viewers who had tuned in to watch the much-anticipated segment. The viewers were kept glued to their seats as they witnessed the great white whales jump out of the water with high speed to attack a group of seals that congregate there. The ‘Ultimate Air Jaws’ witnesses show producer Jeff Kurr and renowned shark expert Chris Fallows return to the South African coast where the great white sharks are found in great numbers. With the help of latest technology, the crew attempts to take a closer look at the distinct behavior of the sharks in order to capture some of their most stunning footage.

In the program, Chris Fallows and Jeff Kurr employ a HD camera that films in super slow motion which ensures that the viewers can have an exhilarating experience as the high resolution provides wide detailing to the footage. Moreover, the crew of “Shark Week” also uses a submarine as well as remotely-operated helicopter to get a magnificent and closer footage of the great white shark.
