Los Angeles, Mar 31, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The popular ABC show “Dancing with the Stars” Season 10, on Tuesday had its first elimination round. The show which premiered on March 21 this year has been able to gain popularity among viewers all over again. On Tuesday, the show’s viewership escalated to a higher level as viewers tuned in to see the first elimination from the show. After much anxious moments, the final names were declared. Shannen Doherty and her injured partner Mark Ballas got eliminated from the show in the second week itself.

Shannen Doherty, after the elimination claimed that being an actress, dancing was not her forte but mentioned that she had chosen to participate in the show to make her father, who loves ballroom dancing contests, happy and proud and would have loved to see her performing on the show. Mark Ballas, who had participated in the show for six seasons and successfully completed two, suffered an injury this season during a dress rehearsal. He was rushed to clinic where MRI scan was done and the dancer was asked to rest his legs for six weeks. According to many, this could have been a reason for the elimination of the star from the show.

The “Dancing with the Stars” this year has put on the dancing floor some of the most popular celebrities and personalities. The season 10 is kicking off well and has managed to grab many eyeballs. From astronaut Buzz Aldrin to Kate Gosselin to Pamela Anderson, all are putting their best to remain in the contest. The show is the second most watched program on American television after FOX’s “American Idol”.
