London, April 21 (IANS) Colombian pop star Shakira will perform at Britain’s Glastonbury music festival, says a report.
The Colombian chart star will play the Pyramid Stage June 26, joining already confirmed stars such as U2, Stevie Wonder, Muse and Snoop Dogg, reports mirror.co.uk.
“Glastonbury is famous for being one of the best festival crowds, so I’m sure I’ll have a great time,” said Shakira.
The event celebrates its 40th anniversary this year.
“Shakira is not only an amazing pop star but also socially and politically forward thinking; she’s working incredibly hard for good causes around the world. We feel honoured to have the ‘She Wolf’ herself come to Worthy Farm,” said organiser Emily Eavis.
This year’s three-day Glastonbury will be headlined by Muse, U2 and Stevie Wonder.
