snlApr 18, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Like every episode of “Saturday Night Live” the Apr 17th episode too made the viewers laugh out loud. The viewers not only loved the performances of the guest host and the other short gigs that were shown during the show but also the parody commercial. On “Saturday Night Live” the chosen parody commercial was “Shake Weight”.

The infomercial which has in recent times made waves in the internet for the caption that the machine is designed for women to tone their arm muscles was parodied by Andy Samberg, Kenan Thompson, Bobby Moynihan and others. The crew played on the video of the infomercial and also took the opportunity to joke on the product which is especially designed for women. The “Shake Weight” commercial which promised that with the use of the weight which is “designed just for women” the user will get “visible results just 6 minutes a day”, was able to provide enough fodder for Bill Hader who cracked jokes on it.

Many viewers commented later on that although Bill Hader played on the sexual undertone of the commercial of “Shake Weight”, there is no doubt that the comedian was able to make the crowd laugh with his jokes. Bill Hader appeared in the show as a spokesperson in another advertisement which aims to sell the DVD of the “Shake Weight” Commercial and then went on to mention that the sale of the DVD is for men so that they can watch it whenever they want. The parody has led to many viewers searching for the advertisement that has already become viral on the web.
