Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan have been on top of the Khan brigade ever since, the Khans have made their presence felt in filmdom. There has always been a Khan war of sorts on screen if not off it.

However, in recent times the Khan war has not stopped from spilling off screen from on it too.

Thus when it comes to choosing the most popular Khan, there is always a very nail biting finish wherein one Khan just about makes it to finish first.

Such was the case this time too when during a certain poll conducted by a very well established web site between the stars, it was Shahrukh Khan who managed to just about swipe away to the first spot with 45.54%of votes. Salman Khan averaged to about 43.25% of the votes.

Shahrukh Khan, who has just about had one release in the past one year, has not lost out yet with his most ardent fans. His popularity looms large. Salman Khan, the darling of the masses too has his fan following and his mass and class appeal came right forward with his blockbuster movie Dabangg making all his critics take the sidewalk.

Thus with the Khans never losing out on their popularity quotient, the war is just getting heated up as this year both these khans are to be seen in the most outstanding films ever. Shahrukh Khan in his home production Ra.One as the superhero and Salman with the films Ready, Bodyguard etc are ready to take on the war to greater heights.

The other stars voted in the poll were Hrithik Roshan, Ajay Devgn, and Ranbir Kapoor etc. Amongst the female stars the popular ones were Kajol at the top of the list, Kangana Ranaut, Katrina Kaif, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra.
