Shahid and Dad divided over whom to cast in Mausam

Pankaj Kapur, who is directing Mausam, starring son Shahid Kapur, is looking desperately for a newcomer with a fresh face as the lead heroine. But Shahid thinks Katrina Kaif would be a good choice. And papa clearly disagrees…
Shahid would like to work with Katrina Kaif now as he has already worked with top actresses like Vidya Balan, Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra. But Pankaj Kapur has started a hunt for a newcomer.
Pankaj stated that he is still not ready with the script so the question of casting doesn’t come in. He said that his daughter is in charge of looking into the casting and won’t finalize anything until the script is ready. The film will commence shooting in January 2010.
