Mar 24 (THAINDIAN NEWS) With the new movie “Sex and the City 2″ due to be out in theaters on May 27, new details are finally being released about the actions of the characters, Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda. So what little tidbit did we learn today? The new location which the girls are headed to the Middle East, and most people have been aware of this fact for quite a while, but what no one knew was why.

The girls were very excited during the filming of the movie, and said it gave them more time together and brought them closer than ever before.

“This is probably the most time the characters have ever spent together, simultaneously, it was the first time that the four actors left the country, lived together, worked together for almost eight weeks solid — and when I say lived together, I mean breakfast, lunch and dinner together every single night,” Parker continued. “We were removed from family and friends, and we’ve never had that kind of time together, because we always went home to friends and family and children and husbands and wives. It is the most fun and the hardest we’ve ever worked together.”

So what is the reason for the trip? Well, the plot, of course! The movie’s sequel calls for Cattrall’s Samantha Jones to take the girls to Abu Dhabi, to revisit to location where she and her ex shot an action film. According to the trailer, Carrie will find temptation in the desert when she runs into her own ex, Aiden, player by John Corbett.
