Sesame Street’s 40th Anniversary celebrations include First Lady

Sesame Street Google Doodle Arlington, Nov 4 (THAINDIAN NEWS) It is Sesame Street’s 40th anniversary and it is being celebrated in style with the likes of the First Lady Michelle Obama and even Google being a part of it. Google has changed its logo to fit in Big Bird’s amazing legs, as a mark of respect and love towards the amazing and much-loved show.

The First Lady, Michelle Obama will also feature in the first episode of the 40th season and will talk about the importance and benefits of planting a garden and eating healthy.

Sesame Street is promising to celebrate the anniversary with some changes. “When you turn on your TV on November 10,” Executive Producer Carol-Lynn Parente said in a statement, “you’ll see a brand-new and spectacularly beautiful opening sequence. We’re also launching an entirely new format for the show — the magazine format of Sesame Street, which has been evolving over the years, has been officially replaced with what we’re calling a ‘block’ format. And it’s just wonderful.”

Sesame Street is an American educational children’s television series and is a pioneer in the field of contemporary educational television standard, as it combines both education and entertainment. Sesame Street is well known for its Muppets characters, which were created by Jim Henson. It premiered on November 10, 1969, and is the longest running children’s program on US television.
