Serge Pizzorno gave up drugs for music
August 28th, 2011 - 2:52 pm ICT by IANSLondon, Aug 28 (IANS) British guitarist Serge Pizzorno says he stopped taking drugs for the sake of his Indie rock band, Kasabian.
Pizzorno admits that he and the rest of band members used to party like “tomorrow didn’t matter” and would take lots of illegal substances.
“We were absolutely crazy. Because you don’t know how long it’s gonna last. You do an album and you think this is gonna be it, so let’s just enjoy. Tomorrow didn’t matter. We lived at 100 miles an hour,” femalefirst.co.uk quoted the 30-year-old as saying.
“But I just got bored. For me, the most important thing is the art, the music and the things we leave behind. If your music starts to suffer, then it’s not worth it,” he added.
