Sequel to ‘Red’ in progress

London, Jan 20 (IANS) Now there will be a sequel to “Red”, big screen adaptation of the DC comics that starred Bruce Willis and Helen Mirren, as the studio executives have begun work on the follow-up.Contactmusic.com reports, the film, which also starred John Malkovich and Morgan Freeman, has grossed $164 million till date worldwide since its release in October last year and even landed a Golden Globe nomination for best picture - musical or comedy at this year’s ceremony.
The bosses at Summit Entertainment have invited writers Erich and Jon Hoeber back to write a follow-up. However, it is not yet known whether any of the original all-star cast will return for the planned sequel.
