Washington, Jan 20 (ANI): Rumors are rife that studio executives have begun work on a sequel to the action-comedy ‘Red’, starring Bruce Willis and Dame Helen Mirren.
‘Red’, which is a big screen adaptation of the DC comics, has grossed 164 million dollars to date worldwide since its release in October (10) and even landed a Golden Globe nomination for Best Picture - Musical or Comedy at this year’s (11) ceremony, reports Contactmusic.
Writers Erich and Jon Hoeber have been invited by bosses at Summit Entertainment to write a follow-up, according to Collider.com.
It is however yet to be seen whether any of the original all-star cast will return for the planned sequel. (ANI)
