“Selena Gomez And The Scene” To Debut In September

selena Selena Gomez is going places. Disney Channel fans need no introduction to one of the most popular stars on the network circuit. Gomez, the immensely loved star of Disney’s popular show, “The Wizards of the Waverly Place” is all set to make her debut in the music arena and it is no doubt that the news has already sent her young fans scrambling to their feet with excitement.

According to reports, the album which is supposed to introduce Gomez to the glitzy, intoxicating world of music and entertainment, is tentatively titled “Kiss and Tell.” She is going to get featured in the album as a part of a band and not go solo; the name of her band is going to be “Selena Gomez And The Scene.”

The 17 year old Gomez chose to share her excitement with her fans and ardent followers on the social networking site Twitter by Tweeting this post on Wednesday, “I Can’t wait for my record!!! Just so u know. My band name is Selena Gomez And The Scene. The title of my record is called “Kiss & Tell.”

The album is said to be an amalgamation of pop, rock and techno. It will be distributed by the Hollywood Records and has been slotted for a release date of September 29, 2009. The album will have 11 tracks in all and is also set to feature a new version of the song “Tell Me Something I Don’t Know,” which is to be a bonus track.

In an interview given to Teen Vogue for their June/ July issue, Gomez had spoken to the magazine about her album, saying, “It’s hat I’ve gone through with heartache, friendship, and things like that. I want my fans to know me a little bit better after they hear this record.”
