New Delhi, Nov 15 (IANS) After the Khans and Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh of “Band Baaja Baaraat” famehas toned himself with six-pack abs for his next release “Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl”.

The 26-year-old actor went on a strict 48-hour diet regime and stayed hungry for nearly two days to get the perfect look, according to a source from production company, Yash Raj Films.

In “Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl”, Ranveer will once again be seen with his “Band Baaja Baaraat” co-star Anushka Sharma. Directed by Maneesh Sharma, the film will release Dec 9.

Earlier, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan flaunted six-pack abs in “Om Shanti Om”, “Bodyguard” and “Ghajini” respectively.

Onir touched by small town enthusiasm

Filmmaker Onir, who is going the crowd-funding way and looking for talent across social networking platforms for his next film “Chauranga”, is happy to recieve entries from small towns.

“Feels good to be able to take the process of making cinema to people not living in the big metros. A lot of entries are from smaller towns,” Onir posted on his Twitter page.

The critically-acclaimed director had raised funds for his film “I AM” through social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter, and he decided to do the same for “Chauranga”, a Rs.3 crore movie.

Onir launched a hunt for composers and publicity designers for the film on social networking sites. He says he has recieved a tremendous response.

“Was very touched today when 4 college students from MALDA(Bengal) called to say that they wanted to apply for bank loan to co-own my next film. Today we did a counting for the no. of entries for the crowd sourcing events we are doing for our forthcoming project CHAURANGA directed by Bikas (Ranja Mishra).

“We had 72 entries from across 45 cities for the talent hunt for the publicity designer for CHAURANGA. We have had 26 entries from 10 cities for the talent hunt for the music composer for CHAURANGA,” he added.

“Chauranga”, a movie with new actors, will be shot in Jharkhand.

Chitrangada brings sexy professor look back!

Remember Sushmita Sen as the sexy and stylish college professor in “Main Hoon Na”? Now Chitrangada Singh is set to recreate the same magic as a uber chic economics professor in “Desi Boyz”.

Chitrangada’s character required her to look edgy, smart, stylish and yet mature. So her stylist went with fringes for her hairdo.

According to a source, a renowned stylist from London was approached to design her get-up for the film.

The look turned out to be so classic that when Chitrangada met an Indian lady, who teaches mathematics at London’s Trinity College, she came and asked the actress if she was really playing a university professor in the film.

“The professor told Chitrangada - ‘Well, we look nothing like you, so can I get a picture with you’,” said a source.

“Desi Boyz”, which also features Deepika Padukone, Akshay Kumar and John Abraham, releases Nov 25.
