Los Angeles, Apr 5, (THAINDIAN NEWS) On Sunday the announcement was made that Sebastian Stan, who is known for his role as Carter Baizen on “Gossip Girl” will be seen in the movie “The First Avenger: Captain America” which also stars Chris Evans and Hugo Weaving. The Marvel Studios production, “The First Avenger: Captain America” has Joe Johnston as the director with Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely as screenwriters. Sebastian Stan has reportedly bagged the role of James Buchanan or “Bucky” Barnes who is the sidekick of the protagonist Captain America.

According to reports, the actor went for a screen test for the lead role that was ultimately given to Chris Evans. The star did not return empty handed though and was asked to play the role of “Bucky” Barnes. However the Marvel studio did not disclose all the facts about the role Sebastian Stan would play in the movie. It has not been made public whether Sebastian Stan will be seen as the orphan “Bucky” Barnes who acts as a mascot to Captain America and dies in the World War II adventure or the 2005 revived character who appears in the modern comic series as Winter Soldier.

However, few will disagree to the fact that the movie under Marvel Studios’ banner will help the career of the star. He had for some time now trying his luck in the silver screen. He would in the film get the opportunity to work with some good artists. According to some sources, Sebastian Stan has also signed five to six other films. Therefore the audience will get to see some more of Sebastian Stan in the near future.
