seba April 5, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): American actor, Sebastian Stan, will be enacting the character of captain America’s associate, Bucky Barnes, in Marvel’s ‘The First Avenger: Captain America.’ Stan, widely known for enacting Prince Jack Benjamin on the television drama Kings and Carter Baizen on Gossip Girl, had auditioned for the title role of Captain America as well. However, that role finally went to Chris Evans, who is well known for his roles in the films Not Another Teen Movie and as the Human Torch in the Fantastic Four films.

Stans has signed for the role of Bucky in five to six additional Marvel films. Therefore, he will be a component of the Marvel’s 2011 “The Avengers”. In comics, Barnes is a teenaged orphan, who cannot enroll himself in the army because he is too young. He later befriends captain America as a collaborator in his struggle against the Nazis. Barnes passes away in the Second World War adventure of comics. The character was resurrected in 2005 and brought back into modern comic continuity as a clandestine murderer named Winter Soldier.

The First Avenger: Captain America, directed by Joe Johnston, is set to commence filming in June with a July 22, 2011 release date.

Fanatics, who find it too long a wait to observe Stan as Bucky fighting a moral war in Europe along with Captain America and endeavoring to overpower the Red Skul, can currently observe Stan in Hot Tub Time Machine.
