pennLos Angeles, May 13, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The famous American actor and director Sean Penn on Wednesday, had reportedly pleaded no contest to the one count of misdemeanor vandalism charge brought against him for kicking a photographer. The spokesman of the city Attorney Frank Mateljan has said to media sources that the Oscar winning actor Sean Penn was sentenced by the court to three years of informal probation and performance of 300 hours of community service.

The sentence passed by the judge also said that Sean Penn should receive 36 hours of anger management counseling. Sean Penn however, can breathe easy as the 300 hours of community service according to his attorney could be completed by the actor by performing the earth-quake relief charity in Haiti that he has been doing at present. As per the reports, Sean Penn was at first charged with misdemeanor battery and vandalism charges which if maintained could have led the actor to face an eighteen months jail term. However the charges were reduced and the actor went on with the plea of no contest to end the matter fast.

Sean Penn is one such celebrity who is always surrounded by paparazzi who want to capture each and every moment of his action. Last year a video footage captured Sean Penn kicking a photographer after an altercation. Some media sources also reported that the camera of the photographer was damaged by the actor during the altercation. The incident occurred in October last year but the case against Sean Penn was filed this February. On Wednesday, the no contest plea was filed by the attorney of Sean Penn and the actor did not appear in the courtroom himself reportedly.
