October 16, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): Sean Connery, the former 007 star, who’s enthralled audiences with his amazing screen presence as James Bond, was absent from court on Friday, the 15th of October, for a hearing of the case in his land dealing, where he and his wife Micheline Roquebrune had been summoned for selling off their villa in 1999 which was near Marbella, in Spain.

The Scottish star who had sent a fax to the investigating magistrate, citing problems of very less time and his inability to travel such a long distance from his home in the Caribbean, as the main reason for his absence from the hearing, might have to face some questioning from a team of appointed officials for the task.

However, reports suggest that the investigating magistrate will be considering the possibility of renewing the arrest charges of the veteran star that had been issued during the early period of the case registration.

There are also reports about the possibility of the magistrate going up to the star’s Bahamas home, to meet up with him, or the other option is to appoint a local team of officials to do the needful investigation, or else a team would be sent from Spain to the Bahamas.

Sean Connery and his wife had sold off their property Casa Malibu and thereafter, the property had been demolished, and a seventy apartment high rise had been built in its place. Reportedly, each apartment had been sold for an astounding 45 million pounds.
