London, June 3 (IANS) Film producers in Hollywood are planning a sensational new version of action hero Arnold Schwarzenegger’s 1990 hit “Total Recall”.
Bosses at Columbia Pictures secured the rights to the blockbuster earlier this year and “Equilibrium” writer Kurt Wimmer is working on a new script for the planned remake, reports contactmusic.com.
In the original, Schwarzenegger, who is now California governor, had played a man who believes he is a secret agent and is haunted by a recurring dream about travelling to Mars.
Executives describe the upcoming version as a “contemporised adaptation” but they are yet to announce the cast for the lead role.
