Arnold Schwarzenegger London, May 20 (IANS) Arnold Schwarzenegger has planned to put his acting career on the backburner to deal with his personal life, which has been abuzz with his love child scandal.

The 63-year-old this month signed on to star in the upcoming film “Cry Macho” for a rumoured $12.5 million, and was also in negotiations to feature in a new film in the “Terminator” franchise.

But after confessing he had a love child with a former staff member, the actor has asked his agent to cancel his current film negotiations, reports dailymail.co.uk.

“Governor Schwarzenegger is focusing on personal matters and is not willing to commit to any production schedules or timelines. This includes ‘Cry Macho’, the ‘Terminator’ franchise and other projects under consideration. We will resume discussions when Governor Schwarzenegger decides,” said a press statement from the actor’s office.

The former California governor earlier this week confessed to having a love child.

His estranged wife Maria Shriver and their four children are still coming to terms with the news.
