Seattle, Feb 16, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Sasquatch music festival is a yearly event that is eagerly awaited by the lovers of music. This is a one of its kind music festival which is held at Washington’s Gorge amphitheater every year. However, the emphasis is given on the promising indie rock groups and singers in this festival. The music festival made its debut through the efforts of Adam Zacks, a noted concert promoter based in Pacific Northwest in 2002. Hence, this is going to be the 9th year for the festival. At a free launch party arranged on Monday at the Crocodile, the festival lineup for 2010 was announced. The lineup includes a lot of popular bands and music artists.

The end of May will witness the festival at the Gorge. This festival is held for three days. This year the fans of the festival can buy the tickets for $170. In 2009, the festival proved to be a huge hit among the music lovers and a number of rising pop and rock bands enthralled the audience with their performances. Those who attended the event last year are pretty charged up and want to attend this year’s event too. This year a number of popular and critically acclaimed music bands like Band of Horses, the Vampire Weekend, LCD Soundsystem, Cymbals Eat Guitars and Neon Indian will be performing. The countdown for the event has started.
