New Delhi, Aug 7 (IANS) Actress Sargun Mehta has been roped in to replace child star Jannat Zubair Rahmani as the protagonist in Colors’ show “Phulwa”.
The show is set to take a 10-year-leap and Sargun will play the older Phulwa, who turns into a female dacoit.
“I am very excited about this role. It is my privilege that I’ve been chosen to play a grown up Phulwa. The role has a lot of potential,” said the actress who was last seen in Zee TV’s “Apno Ke Liye Geeta Ka Dharamyudh”.
“It’s not every day that one gets to play a female dacoit who has gone through a lot of trials and tribulations and has now chosen to blaze her own trail in a manner she thinks fit. It is a very strong character and I hope I’m able to do justice to it,” she added.

I missed my daughter’s growing up years: Yash Tonk
The hectic shooting schedules of daily soaps left little time for Yash Tonk to spend with his daughter Pari, and the actor feels he missed important growing up years of her life.
“For years I had been shooting for daily soaps, as a result I didn’t get time. I have seen my kid just growing like this, before I could realise,” Yash, who is currently seen in Zee TV’s historical show “Shobha Somnath Ki”, told IANS.
“I missed those growing up years and now she is eight years old,” he added.
The actor forayed into television with “Just Mohabbat”. However, he rose to popularity with Ekta Kapoor’s shows like “Kasautii Zindagi Ki”, “Kesar”, “Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi” and others.
Later, he took a break from daily shows and tried to make up for the time he missed spending with his family.
“I travelled a lot and shot for films that will never see the light of the day. I did reality shows in between. And when I was not working, I made it a point to be with my family and make up for the time lost,” he said.
