Jan 21, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Sarah Shahi’s professional life is going quite steady these days, as she just bagged the lead role in USA Networks’ new comedy drama, “Fairly Legal”. Starting her life as a Dallas Cowboy cheer-leader, she has indeed come a long way but now, she still has a longer way to go, stepping into the shoes of Kate Reed, the character that she is portraying in “Fairly Legal”. The show premiered on January 20, at 10:00 p.m Easter Time.
Sarah Shahi said that if “Law And Order” and “Sex And The City” had a baby, then it would be “Fairly Legal”. Needless to say, that the show comically deals with the life of legal professionals with a turbulent personal life. Kate Reed, a legal mediator, is having a huge problem in her law firm office, as after her father’s death, it has been taken over her step mom, Lauren Reed, with whom she cannot get along. Where Lauren Reed, (Virginia Williams) is a very stern character with a hard core corporate attitude, Kate Reeds is quite child like. On the Other hand, her husband, Justin Patrick (Michael Trocco), is also creating some trouble in their marital life. She described her on screen husband as a blend of good and bad. Mixing them all together, the show turns out to be a huge comedy, with a good blend of emotions and humor.
She says, that the show would acquire a good number of audiences, as her own youthful sex appeal would draw a the male audiences, while, the female audiences would love the show because of the raw masculinity of her co-actor, Michael Trocco, who would be opening his shirts, to display his toned body a few times. However, if her on-screen life is full of problems, Sarah Shahi’s personal life is on a roll, with a loving husband and a 18 months old infant.
