Nov 15, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Much anticipated show “Sarah Palin’s Alaska” premiered on TLC last and the first episode received accolades of appreciation from its viewers. Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is the host of the show and it is produced by Mark Burnett Productions for Discovery Communications. One of the most interesting aspect of the show is that it is made as a part of travelogue and a part documentary series. When the show was announced previously, Sarah Palin said that her new show would bring the “wonder” and “majesty of Alaska” to all the Americans.
In the premiere of the show the audience saw Sarah Palin and her family doing non-political activities like mountaineering, bear-watching and also cup-cake baking. The theme song of the show was “Follow Me There” by Third Play. TLC describes the show as “family adventure story” but for some media outlets, the whole show is an eight part campaign ad as a presidential candidate. Last night’s episode saw Sarah Palin chiding her daughter Willow Palin for watching a boy from upstairs.
“Sarah Palin’s Alaska” also saw the former Governor trekking to Denali National Park with her husband and her daughter and while trekking she cries out in panic as she gets “scared” with the height. Previously Sarah Palin said that the show is not a “reality show” but some bloggers are of the opinion that the show’s format is somewhat like a reality show. However, the show actually dealt with the Tea Party favorite’s bonding with her children Bristol Palin, Track Palin, Willow Palin, Piper Palin, Trick Palin and her husband Todd Palin with whom she goes out fishing as well. However, the audience also saw Sarah Palin criticizing Joe McGinniss for moving next to her home to write a book. Sarah Palin called the whole thing to be “intrusion” and “invasion” to private life.
