New York, Nov 23 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Officials at FOX were furious that Sarah Palin did not make her presidential announcement on the network. The Tea Party darling announced on the 5th of October that she will not be contesting for the 2012 polls but she chose to make the announcement on a local radio station.

New York Magazine reports that FOX News chief Roger Ailes decided to throw Palin off the network for not making the announcement there. Palin is paid $1 million a year by FOX as a contributor and a source said that was the reason why Ailes got angry.

A source told the magazine that shortly after Palin made the announcement, the executives at FOX News held a meeting and Ailes announced at the meeting that, “I paid her for two years to make this announcement on my network.”

Palin was eventually told the decision to axe her from the network and she reportedly apologized saying her action was a “misstep.”

However an unnamed aide to Palin revealed that she decided against making the announcement on FOX because she had a personal grudge against Karl Rove who appeared as guest on the network.

Palin has contract with FOX until 2013 and with recent reports that FOX does not find her “hot” again, it appears her days with the network are numbered.
