May 28 (THAINIDAN NEWS) Britain’s shamed Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson will appear in the “Oprah Winfrey Show” on Friday. The interview will be aired on Tuesday and the it will be Sarah Ferguson’s first interview after the ‘bribe-scandal’. The ex-wife of Prince Andrew was secretly videotaped accepting a bribe of 5,00,000 pounds from a reporter to provide him access to Prince Andrew. The scandal that happened last week has spread like wildfire. But Sarah Ferguson has shown the grit to tackle it head on.
Presently in the US , she addressed a crowd of booksellers and librarians to promote children’s books. In another recent statement after receiving an award for a children’s charity she said that she hates grown-ups and loves children. The obvious reference to her defamation came after earlier this week she issued a statement apologizing for her ‘lapse of judgment’. The 50-year-old royalty was seen unperturbed and honest about the scandal. In her statements she also hinted that the prince was aware of the transaction but no solid evidence has been found by the media to follow the story.
It will interesting to see on Tuesday her side of the story. The “Oprah Winfrey Show” has been a channel for many victims and guilty parties to get public sympathy or completely lose it. Sarah Ferguson married Prince Andrew in 1986 and had two children- Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie. The couple was divorced in 1996. Ferguson, better known as Fergie, has also said that she had a paltry divorce settlement and had financial problems recently. She is a children’s book writer, has made documentaries and also been a spokesperson for Weight Watchers.
