Sara Gilbert’s ‘View’-like Talk Show to Replace ‘As the World Turns’

July 22 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The long running daytime soap opera “As The World Turns” is ending in September, and ‘CBS’ already has a replacement in it’s fall line-up; a new talk show, which will be co-hosted by six women, including Julie Chen from ‘The Early Show’ and ‘Big Brother, and Sarah Gilbert, known as “Darlene” on ‘Roseanne’.
The show is already being compared to ‘The View’ on ‘ABC’ although it does not yet have a name. Other co-hosts will include the very well known wife of Ozzy Osbourne, Sharon Osbourne who is also a judge on ‘America’s Got Talent’. Holly Robinson Peete, who was on ‘The Celebrity Apprentice’ alongside Brett Hart last season will also co host the show.
The last two women who are confirmed t co-host this new talk show are actress Leah Remini, star of ‘The King of Queens’, and a former contestant of ‘Dancing With The Stars’, Broadway actress Marissa Jaret Winokur.
According to ‘CBS’ the show will be focused on the views of mother’s on entertainment and news. Each of the panelists have children of their own, including Sarah Gilbert, who shares two kids with her lesbian partner, Allison Adler. Several of the co-hosts have celebrity husbands as well, such as Sharon, who is married ot Ozzy Osbourne, Julie Chen, married to ‘CBS’ CEO Les Moonves, and Peete, who is married to former quarterback of the NFL, Rodney Peete.
