Sano Sansar star Namrata Shrestha’s video scandal

Kathmandu, Sep 22 (THAINDIAN News) Rise to stardom is great, but the fall from disgrace is still greater. A prime example of this is the hot-shot Nepali actress Namrata Shrestha who was caught in a compromising position with her much-married boyfriend DJ Tantrik.
The video is said to be filmed by an unknown person and it spread like wildfire not only all through Nepal but in the online world too.
Her boyfriend DJ Tantrik’s wife is shocked, however on the other hand, Namrata Shrestha is absolutely unfazed when she reportedly said that, it’s her personal matter.
When the Naya Patrika daily, that carried a report on the nearly 11-minute long sex video, asked Namrata to comment on it, the rising and unruffled star reportedly said: “Yes, I recorded it for my personal viewing. If you have a copy, I’d suggest you enjoy it without bothering me.”
The 23 year old actress who was a top model earlier shot to fame with her movie Sano Sansar. She was also named as one of the top 5 models in Nepal by the Kathmandu Poston in its February 2005 edition. She has been modeling successfully since 1997 and had also appeared in a number of drama acts as well.
She has appeared as the cover-girl on a number of well known magazines such as VOW Magazine, Wave Magazine and many other magazines too. Currently, she also works as a much-loved radio jockey and presenter at ‘Kantipur FM’.

The video is said to be filmed by an unknown person - i object its shot by a video camera not mobile and by DJ Tantrik (Kicha) himself and she (Namarata) knows its being shot.

I agree to all ur thoughts. Its true our society is conservative and bond by true cultural and social values. This is what makes every nepali proud and envy of the west or America. Its true everyone has sex whether with our GF or wife and these things do not come to media coz we know our social responsibilities.
But in namrata’s case its different. She is still young and having achieved name and fame within such span of time should have thought of promoting her in better things. She knew the camera was on and her sexual lust was recorded and any bad element could put it on the media anytime. But she felt being famous means she could do anything vulgar not acceptable, irresponsible and go against our age old traditional values. She is totally wrong as in our male dominated society the man will go unharmed though he is also liable for punishment, but the women will be condemned to death and she will lose all her dignity in our society. Not only will she but all her family members friends relatives and her coming generation will have to suffer and take this pain. Its not easy to live in Nepal with such a dirty sex scandal with a married man as u said paris Hilton will live but namrata will die with shame.
What I think media is just doing their job to bring awareness to stop all bad elements and deactivate activities like sex murder extortion which are all against our society norms and ethics so that we become more careful in every step we take. How can u kill tantrik’s wife for publishing this video??? mr/miss, P. shresthaji, the one who published that video clip was tantrik’s wife. She was the first person who saw that video clip in her husband’s mobile. how could she resist this fact that her husband was sexually treated by another girl?? I am really amazed reading the comments. Yes, different people have different views. And for all of you who said Nepali society is conservative and has norms and values, i would like to say sth. There are many married guys who go for girls other than their own wifes.And i am sure this trend is not a recent one. It has been there since many years.And maybe, its a shame for both man and women involved or maybe they are doing because they are not happy, who knows.The only difference with this case is that they always hide it, from their wifes and from their society.
