To impress Sanjay Leela Bhansali is no cakewalk, considering the fact that he is not at all a peoples’ man and is also, very out-spoken when it comes to calling a spade a spade. And to top it all, everyone is well acquainted and petrified of this. No wonder the debutant singer Jhanvi Shimnakar was quite nervous when Bhansali singled her out to sing for him.
Let’s know the details straight from the horses’ mouth. “While assisting Mr. Monty Sharma on the sets of Saawariya, I was a part of a chorus, in a song which was going to be featured in the film. Mr. Bhansali entered the recording room and asked each one of us to sing one-by-one. Without sounding boastful I was appreciated the most after everyone finished singing,” exclaims Jhanvi.
But those were the days of struggle. Today, Jhanvi has made her debut with Teree Sang, which released this week. No matter how far does this singer go in her life, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s words will remain like “Golden words’. Wotsay Jhanvi!
