July 24, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): While shooting for the recently released movie Lamhaa, director Rahul Dholakia and the film’s leading actors Sanjay Dutt and Bipasha Basu could realize the plight of the Kashmiris, whose lives were drastically changed in the horror afflicted region.
They could see directly how the children were orphaned following the terror attacks and how they continue to live in fear year after year. Touched by the tragedies, Sanjay, Bipasha, and Dholakia have planned to start an NGO for these Kashmiri orphans.
The Bong beauty Bipasha has already started planning to host fundraisers or she may simply donate a portion of her savings towards the cause. However, the idea of starting an NGO is still in the initial stages.
They thought of it after a visit of Sanjay Dutt in an orphanage there and he made up his mind to do something for them.
