May 27 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Sandra Bullock is said to be all ready to make her first public appearance since the Academy Awards show, where she won her first Oscar, only to learn two weeks later of her husband’s infidelities and leave him because of his philandering behavior. MTV announced earlier today that Sandra Bullock is to receive the “MTV Generation Award” during their MTV Movie Awards Ceremony which is set for June 6.

MTV stated that the actress will be given the award “for her riveting and diverse contributions to the film industry and for entertaining generations of the MTV audience over the last two decades.” Her earlier Oscar Award was for her performance in the movie “The Blind Side” which Sandra finished just as she and soon to be ex hubby Jesse James were finalizing the adoption of their son, Louis, who was born in New Orleans. Sandra will now be raising the baby as a single parent, after a train of mistresses came forward to tell their tales of affairs with Jesse.

According to Sandra’s rep, she will be the first woman to honored with this award, since in the past it was only given to men. Among those men were Jim Carrey, Ben Stiller, Adam Sandler, Mike Meyers, and Tom Cruise. The 2010 event which will be hosted by Aziz Ansari will air live from the Gibson Amphitheater on June 6 at 9 pm ET in Universal City, California
