Sandra Bullock’s “The Blind Side” Trailer Premieres

sandra-bullockThe first theatrical trailers for the 20th Century Fox venture “The Blind Side” starring Sandra Bullock in the lead has premiered. The 2 minute long clip of the trailer mostly focuses on the two of the leading characters in the movie, those of Sandra Bullock and Quinton Aaron who essay the roles of Leigh Ann Touhy and Michael Oher respectively.

“The Blind side” is the screen adaptation of the 2006 bestselling novel by author Michael Lewis, of the same name. The movie is directed by John Lee Hancock and he doubles up as the screenplay writer too. This sports based drama is scheduled for a November 20, 2009, release. The movie traces the life of the offensive lineman of the Baltimore Ravens in the NFL football league, Michael Oher.

It is a remarkable and emotional tale of bonds and belonging, a tale of love and sharing. The Touhys are a well to do white family who take in and provide more than a lodging to the poor, under educated and over sized teenager Oher. They give him love and a sense of belonging, an identity, which helps him seek achievement in his professional football career. He comes to the full realization of his potential and gets an aim to reach for in life, that deter him from seeking the path of bring disillusioned.

Other than Bullock and Aaron, the others to star in the movie are Kathy Bates, Tim McGraw and Ray McKinnon. A host of big names in the field of coaching, former and present NCAA coaches like Nick Saban, Tommy Tuberville and Lou Holtz make special appearances throughout the duration of the movie.
