Los Angeles, June 29 (DPA) Actress Sandra Bullock’s divorce from cheating husband Jesse James has been finalized, only two months after the Oscar winner filed for divorce, People magazine said.
The pair filed for divorce last week in Texas citing “discord or conflict of personalities,” the magazine said. A representative of the actress confirmed the divorce was final.

Bullock, 45, and James, 41, a motorcycle mechanic and reality television personality, had been married for five years. Their marriage crumbled following reports of James’ infidelities.

According to Texan law, James is not entitled to spousal support. In Texas, a couple has to be married for at least 10 years to qualify for support.

In April, Bullock also announced that she had taken in a baby boy, Louis, in January. The boy was born in New Orleans a few weeks earlier.

The divorce is also to clear the way for adopting Louis as a single mother, the report said. The couple had wanted for several years to adopt a child.

The actress had found out about her husband’s affairs shortly after winning an Academy Award for Best Actress and retreated from public life, but meanwhile has returned to the spotlight, attending movie award ceremonies and a charity concert in the last weeks.
