Sandra Bullock Gets Back With ‘The Proposal’ Director

October 21, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): Anne Fletcher, the director of ‘The Proposal’ has expressed an interest in reuniting with Sandra Bullock on yet another project. Bullock is not averse to the idea and has said an emphatic ‘yes’ as well. Fletcher had directed both her and Ryan Reynolds in the film which turned out to be a smashing hit at the box office.

The duo have now joined forces for a still to be titled film which is supposed to be a romantic comedy, something on the lines of an “An Unmarried Woman” and “Saturday Night Fever.” The film is being penned by the ‘Wedding Planner’ writers Pamela Falk and Michael Ellis. The combination seems to be a little strange but the director and actor duo can hopefully turn it into a successful venture.

Bullock seems to have quite a number of high profile projects in hand, although she hasn’t really managed to tackle a meaty role after ‘The Blind Side’ which had given her an Oscar.

The new film will again have Bullock as the star and Fletcher as the director. Bullock is also expected to double up as the executive producer along with Maggie Biggar, her Fortis Films partner. Warner Bros has apparently picked up the project which is being overseen by Sarah Schechter. Matt Smith of ‘Offspring’ will be handling the executive producer’s job as well.

While the viewers hope that the director-actor pair of Fletcher and Bullock will be able to weave magic once again, very little is known about its storyline with the plot being kept completely under wraps.
