April 29, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Veteran actor Samuel Jackson apologized to his “Mother and Child’ co-star, Naomi Watts, for his excitement or apparent lack of it while shooting a sex scene. In a career which spans over three decades, Jackson has acted in nearly 100 films but he still seems to be uneasy about shooting sex scenes.

Jackson’s discomfort was also because he did the scene with Watts on the very first day of knowing her. He said that he knows Liev Schreiber, Watts’ husband, closely, but had his first interaction with her only during the shoot of that particular scene in the film where she seduces him. He said that in a room full of people, it gets difficult for an actor like him and he tends to ask lot of question to his co-actor, like where can or can’t he touch her.

Rodrigo Garcia, director of the film, said that Watts’ character seduces a series of hapless men in the film. She understood the fact that her character needs to use her sexuality and agreed for frontal nudity. According to Garcia, Jackson might have been getting cold feet, but Watts was amazingly at ease and her bawdy sense of humor had put everyone present during the shoot at ease.
