Samantha Knapp Rolls to a new RoleMarch 12th, 2009 - 12:17 am ICT by GD
If you don’t believe in the age old wise saying, “rolling stones gathers no moss,” then you just have to look at Samantha Knapp and her career. She has rolled all her life from being a producer, a writer, a show host and now she a reporter. And all the while she has gathered no moss, in fact all the rolling has smoothened her out. Take some time out catch her reporting an event for the Local 6 news with that “billion dollar smile” of hers then you will know what was meant by saying, she has gathered no moss.
Reporting comes natural to Samantha Knapp, why? Because she has been doing it all her life. In the past she has and in the present also with her new job she works tirelessly and diligently in the pursuit of stories that can be made into exclusive news that make a difference in people’s lives, up to a point.
Before this new news job, while she was at WJCL , she has worked as a sort of reporter cum crime investigator, for “Crimestoppers” a franchise she developed herself. On refection of those ‘crimestopping’ days, she says, “We did deep investigations into unsolved murders and helped breathe new life into supposedly cold cases.”
Apart from working in the Savannah, Samantha she has also worked for stations in Hartford, Providence, Indianapolis and most recently she reported for WEYI-TV in flint Michigan.
Her favorite quote is, “We don’t know how high we are until we are asked to rise to the occasion.” However, we thought that is quote would suit her better, “Rolling Samantha gathers no moss.”
