Sam Worthington scared of heights
January 29th, 2012 - 2:28 am ICT by IANSNew York, Jan 29 (IANS) Australian actor Sam Worthington had a tough time shooting a jump from a skyscraper for his new movie “Man on a Ledge” as he is scared of heights.
Worthington wore a harness that was attached to a pulley system while shooting the movie, but he still had reservations about climbing 22 floors up one of the New York’s tallest buildings.
“I spent three weeks at the Roosevelt Hotel standing on a 14-inch ledge that was 22 stories off the ground. That’s over 200 feet above Madison Ave, and I don’t deal with height very well. When you’re on the corner of the building, you can’t really feel the wall. All you feel is the wind. You’re just out there alone like Batman,” nydailynews.com quoted him as saying.
