Sam Mendes ‘plans Willy Wonka musical’

- London, October 3 (ANI): Renowned director Sam Mendes is reportedly drawing plans for a stage musical version of ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’.
The Oscar-winner was said to be teaming up with business partner Caro Newling for the proposed show based on Roald Dahl’s novel.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Warner Brothers are purportedly behind the forthcoming project, reports the BBC.
Scottish playwright David Greig will allegedly ink the script, with Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman will be providing the score.
Whether Mendes, who is married to Kate Winslet, will direct and produce the musical remains to be revealed. (ANI)
